As I expected You continue to do superb work, Sir and good to see you posting it here. I have a foot problem now and am restricted from standing for long times and cannot get to the dark room for very long times. But it is beginning to get better so stand by and I shall flood the air ways with lots of prints very soon, but your work continues to rise in quality and sensitivity. Keep at it .....these wonderful pictures of your family will mean so much to you in the years to come. I would dearly love to sit and have a talk with your father. Take more portraits of him. They will be very precious to you later on. Good work, my friend... good work! I got my Bronica C2 working fine! Logan
I think this is a very nice portraiture of your father. Only change I'd make is to crop out the lady? in the background left. Should be enough room not to lose the length of the walking cane here.
Decent portrait. A few things. Go back and do it at magic hour to get rid of some of the harsh highlights and squinting. Try for a shirt that doesn't compete with his face. A solid color if possible. Crop the person out of the background. Darken the bottom slightly a bit and the left edge quite a lot but blend it. You create the depth by the highlight behind him and the fence vanishing point. The problem is we should be looking at his face but are led off by his shirt and the lightness on the left side of the picture. Try to get the element so we are drawn to his face a bit more. A good start.
Thank you very much!!!! I really appreciate your comments. They are very didactical! Right about the distractions, most about the lightness on the left. The problem with the shirt is ... well, it's the way my father dress ! Thanks again for your time ;-)Regards, Antonio
