Yes, I assume it's a printing challenge to make something nice of a neg like this and not just kitschy "Celestial light". My experience with toning (and alternative processes) is very limited (particularly in view of what is often displayed on this site!) - one problem is that in Sweden nowadays it's very hard to buy raw photo chemicals due to environmental regulations, will have to rely on manufactured products.
