Metal and Glass Bowl

Very cool. I love how all of the shapes are almost recognizable, yet not quite, and how they move your eye around to the next one. The tone is great, too.

beautifully done, Daniel. I enjoy how the shadow of the leaf looks out of focus, or almost as if it had moved during the exposure, yet the nearby pointed object is tack sharp.

Again a very nice photo Daniel. Never tire looking at your work.

I settled on this composition after trying several different planes of focus with movements of the view camera. I found that softening the focus of the metalwork mimicked the soft shadows it cast, while the sharply focused leg acted as an anchor for the eye, as it does for the bowl itself. The distorted light is just plain cool to look at and play with.
