meat market

I photgraphed this in the dimly lit and crowded meat market of Xique-Xique. Set inside a warehouse type of building, the meat market has many different butchers behind their respective counters, much like a farmer's market, or street market.

This was one of the butchers that allowed me to photograph. His counter was the first one in the door, and that was the only reason I could get enough light to shoot (and even then I underexposed the frames).

This print was bleached with dilluted iodine and a paintbrush to bring out the butcher.

Please let me know what you think.

Bags of atmosphere here, Andre. You did well considering the conditions. The darkness I think makes the shot stand out from the crowd, it is unusual. I like it. Regards, John.
