I made this exposure (~20 minutes, lens wide open) in the evening and the light was so dim that I had to drop a flashlight in the grass by the tree just to focus on the ground glass. When I went to print the negative, there was far too much detail, which didn't match my impression, so I racked the image in and out of focus for part of the printing exposure.
Daniel, I think what impresses me most about your work is that you clearly have an impression of the image when you snap the shutter AND you are able to keep that impression in your mind all the way through the darkroom to the finished print. That's a talent.. not an acquired skill... and you've got it!
