Laura is a student of mine. she is a fantastic person - extreamly beautiful - pure gold in her soul..
And to top it, she is a fantastic painter! With a large, impressive production behind her....
And she is only 23.....
So I made this portrait of her in bromoil - and I did it "wrongly" on purpose - to get a sense of sketch in the image. Because of her being a painter..
Oh you kill me, you really do....in a good way, because right afterwards, I feel resurrected......amazing as always, and food for thought. Thanks for posting again. K
Thanks again, all.
Thankfully, Laura also seems to like it, even though she says, she cant really see her self in the image..
Thats the interesting part. I'll do som more of her.
Bwakel.
I have the same problems as you describe, when I try the "classic" way of doing bromoil.
That's one of the reasons I use liquid emulsion as base for the original image.
(I use the czeck FOMA emulsion, as it seems it is "born" for this technique.. (the Kentmere SE1 was soo difficult, and other brands I have tried also presents difficulties. Maybe there is hardener in those emulsions... The FOMA has a little extra bottle of hardener one can use - I never do! THANKS FOMA!!)
