Thanks for taking the time to comment. The 'dark' area is around zone 3 on the neg and is printed between 2 and 2.5. The rest is lost in the scan.

I didn't read the other comments; I would just say that this is the subject matter I prefer. It reminds me of the Armco photograph of EW, however your photo is more cleanly seen. The graphical quality stands up better than the Weston photo, which is a great image in its own right. Portrait, with the black on the bottom as an anchor.
