I took this one in mid march last year. It was snowing heavily then, which is responsible for for the seemingly low contrast. The river Ilmenau is flowing 50 yards behind our house.

I like the branches too, and the texture in the water in the foreground is beautiful! Very well seen!

I really love this, I'm not sure exactly why. The branch on the right gives it added depth and the whole composition is a bit whimsical. I think it's the delicacy that I like.
