Can you please help me?
What do you think these marks are? fogging?
I have been printing without any pb so far, and this is the first print to display such marks. As I am wanting to finish printing a serie and I have only a couple of sheets left, I'd appreciate your input.
I am printing on Fomatone FB Matt Nature 532.
Thank you for your help and seasons greating to all.
Delphine, I've gotten similar marks with other papers when my stop bath was questionable, or I did not leave my prints long enough in the stop bath prior to fixing. Basically, areas of the paper still have residual developer which is active and are not fully neutralised before fixing. The affected areas get solarized and develop out, and are then fixed. When I print, I also turn the light on after about 15 seconds exagerrating the problem!!! I would suggest leaving the print longer in the stop.... Not sure what your current time is for that?
I agree with Andrew, your stop bath is either too weak or you are not leaving it in there long enough. Use a stronger stop and flip over the paper at least twice. That should do it.
Nice picture! I agree with the other tips. And: Are you using different gear (paper forceps) for each bath? On the right I see the marks of it. Put the paper face down in the developper too in the first 30 seconds.
