This almost looks like an IR film...did you use a green filter? Huge Tree!
Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, thanks for the comment. It was not an IR-Film, I never tried this. The filter was a yellow one, if i am right

I like it, you had a tough lighting range to deal with and it worked out well. That yashinon lens is very sharp at f11.

I just bought two yashicas (The result of not being home when two ebay auctions were due to end.) A "D" and a 124G. I figured that I would sell the D in favor of the newer model, but it looks like good stuff is to be had by the D...

My only greenhorn comment to the image is that something may have been included to give the tree scale... but it still looks massive...

Hi JHannon an joeyk49,
this Yashica D has only a 3-element Yashikor lens, I think, the Yashinon is really better. Both of the have to be closed to f8 or f11 to get good results. Regards, Thomas

Now that I think about it, I'm nuts. The tree is big and the phot says that. Something other than a man made object, like a deer or a rabbit or a moose or whatever... would obviously cjange the focus of the shot. Using a person or an man made object would have immediately ruined this beautiful and natural locale.

I like the shot just as is...
