Gelati - Siena

Don't know what happened with the blurry right bottom of shot but I think it adds something. Ice cream is a lifesaver at times when you have kids.

Wonderful.
The bottom right 'thing' is a lens artifact. Out of the two Holga cameras I have owned, one had the same thing.

Thomas,

Thanks for the comment. Oddly enough I initially thought the blur really detracted from the shot but now I don't mind it at all. I noticed on 'squarefrog' that this is quite a common problem and it is becasue the shutter arm isn't wide enough to cover the hole on the shutter's return. In essence there is a small light leak leading to this double exposure. To get rid of it, squarefrog suggests sticking a small piece of card onto the arm of the shutter. There is a link at http://www.squarefrog.co.uk/holga-troubleshooting-corner.html. I'm going to see if this happened on all the shots I took with the Holga on this roll and maybe try out the card.

Thanks again.

Missed this when it came around. It's a wonderful image and you have a 'special' Holga-My newer one is too sharp yet I also get that 'double exposure' effect in the lower right corner ? !
