Fool's Gold

Slowly making the pile of film turn into negatives. I've been souping a lot of film, and I ran out of negative sleeves!!! Ack...

Anyway... not sure yet how I will print this, there are shiny flecks of sand called "fool's gold" in the beaches of the shimmering shores of Bass Lake, California. Hoping to somehow bring out those bright flakes, but they may be too small to work. Thoughts?

We had a great couple of days there last July.

I missed this one - it's great. I like the idea of literally picking out the gold, but I also think it works with the title as it is. You can leave it to your own, and the child's imagination....(because sand/mud whatever is always potentially something else to a child...). If that makes sense...

Thank you, Gene, Miles and Cate...

Cate, I understand what you mean. I will probably print it both ways... it gives me an excuse for some hand coloring, but I will make a straight print as well. That, I think, will work better in a group or portfolio with other similarly printed photos.

I have had the chance to see this print of Suzanne's in person... it is a very nice print indeed!! Her other work is quite nice also.
