One more from behind our house. I'll probably keep doing this forever....I love the infinite variety of light and detail.
This is was taken on Monday, December 10th. The fog was freezing on the branches and twigs. I've cropped it from a 4x5 negative.
Thanks again, all of you. This has now been printed. I've left it alone, toned it with selenium, toned it with Berg Sepia RC, toned it more lightly with much diluted Berg's, toned it with the diluted Berg's and selenium 1:10 for three minutes, and am awaiting the dried results. I have a lot to learn!!
This is an excellent composition that is filled with intrigue and suspense. The mood is very powerful. I am not a b&w photographer, but I do know a cold blue cast or tone would greatly enhance the cold damp mood of this image. Whether this is possible in the b&w world, I do not know. However, I do know that an image like this staged in a cold blue tone would catch any eye when displayed on a wall.
