(Inspired by Baxter Schwab)
Fiver left us for warmer greener and better provisioned pastures in early March, one month before the birth of our daughter. My wife believes his beautiful spirit passed into her. I hope she's right.
He was a great and true friend: warm, loving and a wee bit smelly, with a lick and smile for all.
He is sorely missed by all of his friends, and all were his friends.
Fiver has the look of a true and natural gentleman. It is obvious why he is missed so much.
I believe it was von Bismarck, in later life, who observed: "The ancient Germans believed their best dogs would be with them in heaven: I like to think they were right."
