five years

A great little five-year-old, photographed at the Phoenix workshop. She was tumbling around on the bed until this frame. Coincidentally, one of the workshop participants photographed me photographing her at just about the same moment; her shot is now displayed as my bio image at www.cheryljacobsphotography.com.

Very beautiful eyes, great framing and use of DOF.

I find the out of focus hand distracting and spooky. There is almost the suggestion that it's someone else's hand. Maybe a little less extreme out of focus would have lessened this undesirable effect in an otherwise fine portrait.

Cheryl, I don't profess to be anything other than a rank amatuer but even I can see what a fantastic picture this.

Cheryl, another beautiful image! I like the hands just the way they are.
LOL, I love your new site. Very refreshing!

Your pictures are great!

Wish I could take pictures like you...well, I keep practising!!

The eyes have it! Most times I have to bleach back to get anything like the limpidity of those peepers! A beautiful image.

I'm with lmdmd on this one. The hand's disjointed nature-either in focus or not is distracting.
