I think I probably drove past you while you were taking this shot - about 9.00 am a week to ten days ago I seem to recollect? Was going to beep my horn but thought I'd better not - now realise I would have probably scattered the sheep so I am glad I didn't! Wasn't convinced that the light was that prepossessing but it shows you what an experienced operator and darkroom master can achieve. Very impressive. Looking forward to getting my darkroom back into action so I can get to work on some of my recent efforts in the snow. Am using the APX 100 you let me have in the M6. Is this form the same OoD stock?
Awesome composition, very well done! One really gets a sense of the isolation of that little group of animals, and the band of light overhead is just spectacular.
Thanks everyone for all the kind words . Graham - I was out a week or so ago but this shot was actually made in the last lot of snow we had in February or thereabouts last year. The sky is hard to print in and I want to have another go to keep the distant hiltop a bit brighter. If I manage it I'll post the result!
Counting sheep you are in good company here, Michael Kenna has done this many times with images of birds, I have a habit then of counting them myself to check he's correct. Enjoyed all your recent images.
