A crop from 1 (a). I decided the print was generally too dark. This is a fairly bright scene with a (nearly) white limestone path. Base exposure at grade 3.5 with dodging of the people and path -1/3 total exposure. Burn of sky grade 0, +1/3 stop. Burn with mask cut from projected image on card.
I don't know enough about it to say it does this with "all" prints but it subtly increases density with the three types of RC paper I have tried it with (Ilford MGIV, Fotospeed RCVC, Ilfospeed graded). It changes the actual colour of the tones a bit too. Most noticeable in highlights like clouds. Sometimes it brings out detail I didn't know was there. It seems to improve my prints and give them a bit more sparkle. I started using it for some prints that are going on the wall at work but I think I will start using it for all of my "keeper" prints as I like the effect. PS: this print was scanned before it had the Adostab/Sistan treatment. It is very easy to use and can be a final 2 minute bath after washing so it is no hassle really. It is not recommended on old prints which may have started to deteriorate. If you prefer you can use it for batches of previously washed and dried prints. In that case, the print must be wet before the Adostab. As with any toner, a dry print can take up the toner unevenly. Adostab is not washed off. You squeegee the prints and carefully wipe any droplets off with a sponge and set the prints to dry.
