This photograph was taken on the upper floor of a Shaker residence in Pleasant Hill, Kentucky. The Shaker village has been restored and serves as a living museum. A wonderful place to visit.

The toning order doesn't make a dramatic difference, but I've found that selenium toning first protects the shadows from getting weakened during the subsequent bleach/redevelopment steps. The effect is noticeable with some papers more than others (i.e. warmtone>neutral/cold toned papers). Let us know what you find out.
