Diner, Claverack NY

Hi Vic, this ones great!

It has it all (given the context of the reason for taking the photograph). It places Claverack in the present as the photograph is a recent one, and it shows its past as the diner appears to be from the 40's or 50's. The image also hints to me of the work ethic of Claverack's inhabitants because the back of the diner, a place not normally viewed by the public, is swept of dead leaves, uncluttered and clean. Pile on top of that, dramatic lighting and a strong composition and I give it a gold star

The Holga-esque 'peep-hole through the mists of time' effect gives it a bonus star.

At first I thought this image was back-lit the way the shadows end at the trees in the background. "How the hell did he do that?" and with a Holga? anyway love the illusion. Have fun printing it.

don't flip the image. It works, too no small degree because, for me because you took the image from the back.
