Desert Light Show

Even a blind man finds the door once in a while. I had just parked on top of a knoll and got out to look for prospects when I saw what the storm was doing about 8 miles away. It had touched down and was hammering the desert! One of those moments when you think about every move because getting an 11X14 camera set up from scratch in time to capture this event had me breathless! I used the 674mm component of the Cooke Series XV convertible to get me a little closer. In 3 minutes the show was over.

this is outstanding. being at the right place at the right time and reacting quickly is outstanding. The fact you did it with a 11x14 is amazing. how many plates did you get to shoot before the whole thing was over.

Thanks Mike. I shot 3. 2 are still undeveloped. This was the one I felt might be the best. Jim
