Thanks everyone! I appreciate it! And like I said, you are all invited down to join me and shoot the cypresses! Just bring mud boots or waders. And nude models of course.

Hmm, y'all sure like that gradient... funny, I was thinking about how I was going to reduce it! When I shot it, I imagined the whole sky would be rendered quite dark and the tree would pop against that. But I see that the gradient indeed adds a different feeling. Lith may do interesting things with the gradient, I suppose that there could be a subtle colour change across it if I get it right.
