Nice. Do you have any IR of windmills?

I have never seen an olive tree in real life, but this seems to give a special effect.

Vincent, great image indeed. Love the IR look. As for split grade.... I use it sparingly.... and not always following the grade 0 to grade 5 rule..... I sometimes do a G1 or 2 for the highlights depending on the negs, and then a G5 to punch in some contrast.

This looks great, super looking weird tree. Grain and IR look great. Id say it looks great in person

Beautifully done. This image, to me, is "reality on the edge of abstraction".
This "edge" is a wonderful place to be.

I agree with your comment Vincent, sometimes I wonder why I do split grade printing myself.......then why not. I have compared and on the average, have found no difference. Hit and miss for me.....

There was a thread about this last month. There was some discussion about whether split grade can differ from a single exposure at an in between grade.

I think that unless you are dodging/burning one grade differently to the other then there will be no difference.

I do think that split grade may allow you to find the correct grade quicker than experimenting with single grades though.
