TIm- I think the female counterpart has been posted here many times already... how many female lower torso photos have we seen here that also include the pubic region? And yet nobody has blinked an eye (probably for fear of missing something)!

And to answer the question of why?

It fits in with the conversations we've been having about what is art, what is porn, and how to handle controversial images. People were bashing Sanders McNew's nudes for any number of reasons, from objecting to the model to objecting to the objectification of the model, to saying it was just an excuse to put boobs in the photo. Now they can bash mine, just because it's a penis portrait.

This works really well; I guess having a close working relationship helped to pull it off.
