Wonderful photo. I always have terrible difficulty with back lighting. How did you meter this? How much did digital manipulation did you have to apply?

I think I metered on the fountain and then opened it up a stop or two. The density is low in the dark areas. Ideally, I might have made a bit more exposure. However, I am not overly concerned with having detail in darkest areas, such as the person by the fountain. I find that I need to increase contrast a bit to make images posted online look like they do in the photo editor.
