Mormor

Mormor

Mormor = maternal grandmother in Swedish.

My grandmother has had a rough twenty years, her husband died in 1991, and she has since struggled with Parkinson's disease, taking more medication every day than I care to think about.
When I took this picture I hadn't seen her for over six years, and she is so dear to me. I love her so very much. And strangely enough, she was in a better mood than I have ever remembered her.

Thank you for having a look.

Great image, the light, everything is perfect. I lost my grandmother when I was 17. I called her muti (don't know if I spelled it right) a German term for mommy, she pretty much raised me when we cam e to California. Thank you for sharing.

A very engaging and moving portrait. Nicely lit on the face too

I perceive a sadness there Thomas which you have captured so well. Lovely photo.
