Hi fellow gallery regulars, if you didnt already realize the gallery is about to be taken over by Tallahassee P&C association and with out any consultation with people who actually regularly contribute to the gallery. They will make people who post nudes censor their work or the mods will do it.

This would actually be more like a notice to people saying that the room ahead contained nude photos. And then let anyone in who wanted to go in.

You have some problem with being informed?
I use to feel comfortable in my own skin, now I feel grotesque and dirty. Have to shower with my clothes on. I don't fit here, time to move on.

I don't fit here

No, you're just having a conniption. It'll pass. 🙂

Anyway, if the "Do you consider this image NSWF?" checkbox was already there, you wouldn't have given it a second thought - and never actually checked it - and never opted to not view photos that were. This isn't censorship. It's more like being asked if you have a middle name.

There is nothing being censored, there is not even code available to do such a thing in our gallery system. There has been discussion of allowing an individual the option to "enable" the blurring of nudes in case they are at work or around children (or offended I guess), but this would NOT be a default setting it would only be 'opt-in' per the individuals own site preferences. I certainly would hate to see you leave over a misunderstanding of sorts.

*edit: Also, I am assuming there are browser plugins for this anyway thanks to new AIs, where individuals who take issue with nudes can have their own plugin which blurs it. This is likely to be pushed back onto individuals to deal with on their own and outside of our infrastructure.

I just learned the word conniption! 💪

Since it appears the site owner Sean has nixed this thing hopefully you’ll reconsider your departure.
The Tallahassee Classical School fired a teacher for showing pictures of the statue of David to her class.

I don't think members should have to put their pictures in a nude category, it still implies their is something wrong with their pictures and I can see members taking offence to this. I haven’t see any nudes here even remotely offensive. In fact most get double the views others get. Just leave the gallery as is, if someone doesn't want to see something they can just move to the next picture. It's more important to keep photographers involved in the gallery.

There is no change to the main galleries. Some members might start their own forum threads where they post links to nudes or choose to use the 'spoiler' bbcode which requires a click to open. That is their choice if they want such a thread, but the main gallery remains as is. I have seen a few browser plugins that do detect and blur nudes, I suggest if folks have issues then they install their own blocking tools.
