The disused quarry on Castle Crag in Borrowdale in The Lake District has become something of an artist's interpretation of a graveyard. Walkers have set vertical large numbers of the slates that have been left lying in huge piles. The result is almost a memorial to the miners who worked here more than a hundred years ago.
Great mood, I especially like what appears to be some mist around the trees trunk in the back, adding to the atmosphere. I don't know if it was really there, or is an effect of the lith, but it is quite nice and breaks the dark mood.
