Brenda Donna 665-II

Brenda Donna 665-II

One of a series of figure studies I was working on while in NY back in 1987. I shot this particular session with ektachrome and was using the 665 film for exposure test. Seems I liked the 665 better than the chromes

You are correct... I normally do not crop my prints, but the square format just did not work with this image. Composition was not right no matter how I framed it in camera. I usually like the viewer to see in the print exactly what I saw on the ground glass. I think every negative carrier that I own has been filed out. Since the studio was set-up for a portrait, we had the 2 1/4 ready to go, so this impromptu session was shot with what was available. If I had it to do over again I would have done this one in 4x5.
