I'm greatly appreciative of the kind words, thank you all. This is one of those images which is made simply by going back again and again. I believe I have photographed this image no less than 8 times over the years. I only stop when I think the light is better than the last time. One big issue are the foot hills behind me. They produce a lot of wind at the best times of the day for shooting. One has to be there just before the winds start to get anything at all from a view camera.
