I find barges and cargo ships fascinating. I live close to a dam on the Seine and I love to go watch them pass through.

I share your love of watercraft. I grew up in a port, in Norfolk Virginia — it is a large commercial harbor as well as the home port of the US Navy’s Atlantic fleet — and I spent much of my youth on the water around tugboats and barges and destroyers and freighters. Some day I would like to find a way back to that world with a camera — the images are imprinted in my memories.

FWIW, for the past year, I've been searching for a boy with a baguette to shoot in WR's honor. No luck, yet. Will post when it happens!

That's the Pont de Bercy, in case you want to look it up. No clue as to what they're carrying, sorry. As for the film, I don't remember what I used but it was either Ilfosol 3 or Fomadon LQN. I use whatever is available, btw. No informed decisions here

No worries, I totally understand. Sometimes we just want to enjoy the artistic experience and not be bothered with other details.
