For all the hard work Sean did

#1
Sean put in so much time (or someone did) to restructure the groups section and make it more like a forum. However it seems to me to have nearly killed it dead. I used to like clicking to groups and seeing who was posting and how many members all the groups had. And I used to like to get to the latest post with one click on a group. Now it just doesn't work for me and judging by the lack of activity it doesn't work for anyone else either. Of course there might be more activity in other groups but as it is set up now I can't tell.

I guess.."oh well" It was probably not a good idea to splinter the APUGers into private groups and forums. We like to see what everyone else is talking about. OR perhaps it is just me.

Good morning, Dennis;

You are not the only one with such sentiments. I have also suggested ways to restore some of the convenience functionality we had under the older system, but that does not seem to be the way. I actually thought of drawing an analogy involving the former popularity and availability of film at this point, but that is probably not very appropriate for this forum, is it?

We will see what happens. I am still not sure why we could not just have been moved over to the other geographical forums with all of the grownups. I guess we are still considered to be too young, or boisterous, or ill mannered, or something.

Enjoy; Ralph Javins

I did find one way to make it more like I like it and that is to bookmark Apug All Groups, instead of Apug Groups. Then it shows the most recent activity.
