Amazingly this was called their portable model. So with two people you could take it to dark site. And yes, depending where you're observing from and the time of year you could encounter lots of skeeters. I had it on casters so it was an easy roll out of the garage to the driveway. Also, a step ladder was needed
I thought my Celestron AVX Mount with 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain OTA was heavy and bulky. But I guess if it's on wheels and never goes beyond your driveway, the weight doesn't matter.

You're not kidding, specially if get aperture fever. My Cave was built in 1976 and I bought here in Atlanta when Wolf Camera was still around. I first saw the moon through a 50mm Tasco when I was 8 years old and was immediately hooked.
