I just purchased this camera before loading any film or reading the instructions I wound the film advance to the 1 position and now I can't trip the shutter or turn the film advance knob. After reading the instructions I tried sliding the small knob between the film advance knob and the light meter assembly with no results.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

ERROR
I have just tried the link and it goes to the wrong version of the manual.
I will find the relevant one and post it later. Sorry.

The above is a link to the manual for the SUPER IKONTA II N0. 533/16

There may be a fault with the winding mechanism, but read the film loading instructions on pages 10 - 15.
It's a bit involved.

Pay attention to the first paragraph at the top of page 10.

The third paragraph on page 11.

First paragraph at the top of page 12.

Finally the note in the margin of page 15.

I printed the booklet out, and penciled red boxes around them to make it easier to find.

Hopefully you have some luck with the problem.

This should take you to the version of the manual I was talking about.

Click on the download pdf button just above the front page of the manual.

Hello: I already have this manual and I have followed all of the instructions regarding loading and advancing the film.

As I stated in my original post I have done all of this without film being in the camera and I have tried all of the procedures listed in the manual without success.

So I must assume that the shutter interlock to prevent double exposure is jammed somehow and I will have to send the camera off to be looked at.

Many thanks for all of the suggestions.

Doug

You can test the interlock lever independently by pushing it down after the shutter is cocked. If you can't push it by finger, use a plastic or wooden probe narrow enough to get in there. The interlock should be free to move after cocking the shutter, just as the shutter release lever, next to it, is free to move at the same time.

Hello: thanks for the info. It worked and now I have a functioning camera.
