Anybody know the filter size/system for a Wollensak 108mm f/6.8 WA Raptar? It's in a Rapax #2 fully synchromatic shutter.

I'm 95% certain that it was designed for a push-on series adapter — probably series VI, I think — and then all the series VI accessories from there. I can experiment with those but wanted to see if anyone here knows for certain. I'm not super experienced with series push-on adapters. It looks like something in the 40-41mm or 1⅝" range would work.

Would love to hear better info or ideas/workarounds for using filters with this lens. Ideally, I will adapt it to use 46mm screw-in filters, which I have in abundance.

Yes, a series filter adapter (etc) is the way to go. As mentioned already, Tim can get you set up with the right adapters and filters and shades. Measure the outer diameter of your lens. The adapters are 'adaptable" by gently bending the tabs plus/minus about a mm. I'm not too sure if adapters from Series VI to 46 are available or not. I use Series filters because I find those kind of adapters to be a real pain in the

It’s Series VI with a 38mm push-on adapter.

Here’s a handy table of Wollensak lens filter sizes from the 1961 Guide to the Kodak Filter System.

I'm using Voss filter holder in combination with 72-67 step down ring (which fits tight) and 67mm filters.
My specimen is Wollensak Raptar 108/12.5 Ex. WA, but front lens diameter is the same 38mm.
It works.
I borrowed this idea most probably from someone in Largeformatphotography.info

Here is Voss in flesh, adapter in application and shooting result.

Go on eBay and search for a 1-1/2" (38mm) push on filter. Make sure you see it on the adapter because folks don't know how to measure. The Kodak 127mm f4.7 Ektar also uses that size.
