I have a 553ELX and would like to hear from other users how you are using the cables, which ones (FK for front plug, SK for XLR-type side plug) etc.
I have the FK30 and have it "tied" to the handle of my Gitzo tripod.

I might use the FK300 (3m electromagnetic release cord) for self-portraits; I have a project in mind which might be part of the documentary project described in another section of the forum.

Being aware of the discussion around structural violence in photography (Sonntag etc), letting subjects make their own portraits might lessen the effect? It is not really new, I know, it somehow reeks of 1980s/1990s commercial advertising photography with the cable and backdrop stand being intentionally visible in the photo.

I have the SK150 and although I do not use it very often, I like it a lot. Benefit over the FK-version is that you do not need to remove the shutter button for using it.

THank you! It is a difficult to find item, but maybe I should search for one.

I have one of those. Had it long before I had any Hasselblad camera. When I got an ELM, I saw the port and wondered if that cable was for that (I had no idea what it was for prior to that - it showed up in a pile of stuff I bought). Sure enough. It's pretty convenient.
