It's actually a good idea. I have ThumbsUp grips on both of my Leica digitals and I always though...why couldn't they make
a thumb rest similar to my M Film cameras as we all use them, thumb under the advance lever.
Finally, they did.
 
Sorry, you complainers. I thought a FILM ADVANCE LEVER was part of the FILM Heritage.
 
It is not a thumb rest; it is a fake rewind lever that can be used as a thumb rest.
