****THE TILTALL IS SOLD.****

QUICKSET HUSKY lV, My preferred because of the larger diameter handles & rubber grippy things on the legs. When I got this I wrapped the legs with handlebar tape & cut about 8" from the(long) center column.
Works smoothly, looks OK but the plating is shedding from the center column
31" collapsed.
60" set up, 70" w/column extended.
Weight:9lbs 4oz.
Three way head with locking mechanism on the mount.
Geared center column.

You pays your money and takes your pick of the Husky lV. $60.00

I bought a Marchioni Tiltall (already well used) 30 years ago, and I cannot say enough good about it. I use it for anything from my Linhof STIV and smaller, it's possibly the best tripod of it's size ever made. Unless you run it over with a Caterpillar you'll never need another.

I am a little confused. "You'll never need another". Another what? Tiltall or Caterpillar? Both are quality products. I agree with what else you said about the tripod......Regards!

As near as I can tell it's not had a caterpillar on it but will check for bug prints.
Should I look for any particular type? IE moth/caterpillar?
