Since January was a complete failure, let's find a target in February that will work for everybody and get something scheduled! I will be working my company's annual conference for the first week of February, but after that, I'm open.

Saturday afternoon/evenings are filled for me in Feb., maybe 2nd or 3rd week Saturday morning or Sunday sometime?

Thoughts on a venue?
 
I would hazard a guess that Superbowl weekend will be busy for most...
 
How 'bout this coming weekend, the 19/20th? Sunday is better for me, since my wife will be with her sisters and I'll have the whole afternoon free. If we can trust the weather this far out, looks like it will be seasonal (40's).
 
IF I'm not working the 19th would be good for me. My wife and daughter will be out of town but are flying home on the 20th so I need to be home. Actually though they wont be home till around 7:00pm so I could do something Sunday too.

Funny, my wife and daughter are flying home on Sunday the 20th as well... I'll check and see what time the flight is, but Saturday is probably better.

Work has been so flippin slow I'll probably be available this weekend (yeah, big talk, I know...). KEH is shipping me some new toys this week too, so I should be looking to play! :laugh:
 
Yeah, an Olympus XA and Nikon F2A showed up already and a Nikon F5 will be here tomorrow. :D Unfortunately the bargain grade F2A is really rough (much rougher than their usual bargain grade stuff) so I'm going to see about exchanging it out. Hopefully the F5 will be in a bit better condition. :unsure: This will be the first time I've wanted to return anything to KEH but I've received ugly grade stuff from them that looked better than this F2.

I will be. The F5 looks fine so its needs a good testing :smile:

I'll be interested to see your Contax. I've never actually seen one in the flesh.

If we're on, I'm in. Am interested in checking out your F5, for sure.

I like afternoon a bit better than morning, but I'm a very flexible guy.

As to location, I actually like the neighborhood that Mike and I wandered in last time (right there where DPP is located). I felt there were more opportunities there, for sure.

I'm completely open to other ideas, too, of course.


And where do toro_mike, mr westphal, and derek (and others) stand in all of this????
 
I googled DPP's location, it's a bit far (I'm up by Sheridan/92nd area) but I may be able to make it, if I can wrangle one of the available cars. Will try to be there, but if I'm not feel free to start without me.
 
Anyone whos going to be there, if you have a Nikon F4 could you bring it along? I have one and it doesn't signal my flash (SB-28) to zoom as I zoom the lens. The flash zooms as it should on my F5 though so I know the flash is ok. I'd like to see that it does zoom on an F4 (Nikon claims it should) and then if its ok with you swap your viewfinder onto my body to see if that makes it work. I'm trying to isolate where the problem is. If its the viewfinder then I might buy another one, if its the body well I'll just forget about it...

Not work for me, just family stuff. All kind of popped up. Was hoping to get there (also needed film from DPP, dadgummit!).

I cannot attend. I guess there's always next month.
