Awesome! I will definitely try it!

From his description, it sounds like an existing Ilford product that has been around for a while. Why not just buy the stuff with an honest name on the package when Ilford film is cheaper (at least in the USA)?

I do think the package, with its Constructivist design, is very cool.

Say what you want, that packaging design is damn cute.

Another 3 months to go, to get the film.

What is the country of origin for Zorki Mono Film?

It is old, already on second page, three pages "news" thread for APUG.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Just receive this message :

... I just wanted to let you know - as someone who bought the film earlier this month - that the film (and my blog) have gone through a name change.

The blog is now called Kosmo Foto, and the film is called Kosmo Foto Mono.

You can see the new film packaging here
https://kosmofoto.com/product/kosmo-foto-mono-film/

The packaging has changed a little to incorporate the new name, but is very similar to the previous design.

Your orders are still in the system and you don't have to re-order. The film itself is unchanged - this is merely to make you aware that the packaging is different ...

Changing blog and product name short after announcement of that product, the same time setting the old address off and thus not offering a link from there hints at a major problem he had.

Hello all

I had to change the name as it was drawn to my attention "Zorki" is still a registered trademark in Russia - though it isn't in the UK, the EU or anywhere else in the world (and I had checked this when I set the blog up five years ago).

I felt it was prudent to rebrand at this stage - especially if KMZ plan to release anything in the future under the Zorki name.
One to write down to experience, i'm sure you'll all agree.

If anyone here has pre-ordered the film so far, thanks very much. I'm really looking forward to seeing the results people get.

Thanks

S

I'm in the process of emailing those outlets that wrote about it to update with the new name, aswell.

Thank you for your quick response !

Yes, that was the problem I had in mind.

You might want to "report" the post preceding your post explaining the name change to the moderators, and request they change the thread title to something like "Kosmo Foto (formerly Zorki Photo) Mono film"

Thanks Matt, that's a good idea - I will.

I was unable to open any of the links, all I got was Secure connection failed, or something like that.

In fairness to customers : what is the meaning of " production " in regards of a "new" film with unclear origin today?
A S S E M B L I N G.......
Think about. ....

with regards

PS : A smal pricing is not allways a sign to : " be aware of danger.....- not allways

Perhaps it's a language issue, or maybe I really am obtuse, but I'm sorry to say I really don't understand your point. What danger? Private label film sourced from a third party manufacturer is neither a new nor a particularly sinister phenomenon and there's no attempt to deceive anyone here. That said, I'd probably save myself a few pennies and buy the actual Foma product instead while looking at the nice Kosmo photo artwork for free online - but that's just me being tight fisted

To my understanding private label films were always cheaper than under the original label.
(Even Agfa as big player at on time had their very own cheaper label.)

But in this case the rebranded version is more costly. Though some of us stated that they would pay more just to get that package. So one can see this film also as some intended collectors item.
