Loaned it to a friend and when came back, the camera had an issue with focusing. So, the lens sits at infinity and I want to focus at say, 3 meters. Once I start turning the lever from infinity position, at the 5 meters mark there is an audible click and the beam (image through the rangefinder viewer) shows a shift, jumping instead of going smooth.

I believe this friend of mine unmounted the lens and when remounting it, messed with the cam follower arm. If so, what's to be done? I can live with this jump thing, but would this really affect the focus of the lens? Thx !
