Did manufacturers (including lens-only manufacturers) use identical rollers for their respective range of lenses, or did they vary throughout?

I have been told that my wording does not make clear what I am thinking of.

I'm referring to those rollers inside zoom-lens barrels controlling lens-assemblies movement by rolling within slits in the barrel.
These rollers often wear out.
For preparing for exchanging them it would be nice to know where to look for substitutes, as within other lenses of the same manufacturer.

I think the correct term for you mean is the "zoom guide rails".

Don't worry your English is perfectly good, you mean the followers that run in the guide rails (or slots).

You will be lucky to get such parts other than by cannibalising eg an identical etched lens.

Getting a zoom back together is pretty difficult any way.

Back to original question.

No the rollers* aren't the same diameter or thickness, diameter of the mounting hole, and shape of the shoulder on the screws
is pretty likely to be different too.

As Xmas said, you're going to become a cannibal.

*Rollers. Because they rotate on a shaft in a guide slot or cam.

Thus cannibalism the same model. Not from the same lens-family (manufacturers often introduced sets of lenses at one time) or even just same manufacturer.
