I have Zone VI 16x20 print washer on a table, not in a sink. It has a drain hole of a little less than 3/4" and I'd like to run a hose from there. Just looking for ideas. There isn't much room to get a nut on the inside so I'm looking to find a nylon threaded fitting to screw directly into the hole. I'd like a tight fit so I don't have to use any silicone or other sealant.
I have an 11x14 Zone VI washer, and that drain hole is threaded for ¼-inch. I bought a threaded brass ball valve, screwed it in with plenty of Teflon tape, and connected some tubing to reach the sink. If your drain hole is not threaded, it should be very easy to drill and tap it.
Try searching for aquarium bulkhead fittings. They are used on glass tanks to provide a threaded fitting to connect strainers, hoses, etc. I think the smallest they make are 1/2" size. They basically have two rubber gaskets, the threaded plastic nipple and a plastic nut. You can then thread in an 1/2" male fitting with a hose barb and so on.
I use a 20x24 ZoneVI washer out of the sink. I used to drain the washer from the bottom thru an elaborate bunch of valves and tubes a plumber made me. It would often leak so I took all of it off. I now use a 3/8" vinyl hose to siphon the water.
