Hello,

The head of the adjustement screw of my zone VI enlarger are dead. I need to change them, I can't remove them without cutting.

Thank you

The diagram in post #1 is on page three of the manual.

[NOTE: When I click on the following link in the Photrio editor in “Preview” I get an error message. However, when I highlight, copy, and paste it into the address line and press “ENTER”, it loads the PDF normally. It also loads if I highlight the link and choose “Copy Link” and paste that into the address line above. The second link at the bottom works normally.]

For side-to-side adjustment, it states

“These screws are at the front corners of the negative stage and are accessed by placing the 7/64” Allen wrench under two small holes under the lip of the chassis.”

The only hexagon-socket screws I’m familiar with that use a 7/64” Allen wrench are #6-32 socket head cap screws. These are #6 small machine screws of 32 threads per inch. Their diameter is 0.135” = 3.51 mm. This is the common coarse thread. The standard designation is #6-32 UNC socket head cap screw. (UNC = “Unified National Coarse).

Though not as common, #6 screws are also made with fine thread of 40 threads per inch. In that case, they are designated #6-40 UNF (Unified National Fine).

#6 socket head cap screws are commonly available in fractional inch lengths 1/4", 3/8”, 1/2", 3/4", and so forth.

I’ve never examined a Zone VI enlarger, so I cannot be certain of the screw type or length.

Hello,

Thank your message,
The screw has a diameter of around 3.4mm and on 8mm I can count approximately 11 thread.
I'm confident on your message, il will order 3 #6 screw in UNC.

Thank you
