Leather see photo for condition leather is very good. There are a few stitches that are pulled out. If you wish you can easily repair. I don’t think repair is necessary. I used it like this and it was fine and didn't worsen.
There is a name on the inside of a well known Carmel Valley, CA black-and-white photographer. The writing is very light.
