This is the Zone VI Studios, Inc version of the cold light head that has the pre-heater on it and the Zone VI compensating enlarging timer. Came off a Omega D5 XL enlarger. This came from a professional lab that did fairly little work with it and was in use when they decided to stop offering the service. It has been in my darkroom waiting for me to learn how to print with it, but I have never done so and I have to other systems to learn.
Lets say $175.00 + shipping (from 32205)
I will take MO, Cash if you are in the area of Jacksonville, Fl and PayPal
Am I way off base on the price. It sure seems like plenty of people looked over the last few hours. I am more concerned with being fair than making top dollar and like to see it go to a good home that will use it rather than let it sit like I did.
The price doesn't seem bad to me. I don't know if this is a fair price for what it is but it seems like a good price for the ability it gives you. I think that you are getting views because Zone VI items are rare and exciting. I don't think it is turning into a sale because of not knowing what enlargers this is compatible with.
I think the price is pretty fair, but IIRC the Zone VI coldlight heads had collars adapted to specific enlargers. In other words, the one I had for my Beseler 45 series enlarger would not fit an Omega D5 and vice-versa. Therefore, unless the buyer has a D5 or can find/make/adapt this head to some other enlarger you market may be limited. Good luck with the sale, though.
So for the record, the bottom of the cold light head is 6 1/2" in diameter and the head is 4 7/8" tall without the cords that come from the top. It did Come out of a D5.
So, if this head will be mounted on a Beseler 45 series enlarger the buyer will need the collar that originally came with the Zone VI Aristo head, or will need to fabricate something like it.
