Hallo,

My zone 0 paper black trials continue, during which I had a thought

The tests I am running are on film dev'd at standard box dev times i.e. manufacturers recommended times for box iso. If after running these initial tests and using this data as a base for film speed trials and development time trials; if I come up with a different "ideal" developments time for the film will that significantly affect the base density of the unexposed bit of the film used for the zone 0 test? If so, should the initial zone 0 test be re-run with the "new" film development time or is the difference so marginal that it could be safely consigned to "operating tolerances"?

Odd though but might be relevant.
Cheers for any suggestions,
Sim2.

1 - Possibly, but probably not by much.

2 - Sure, if there is a big difference.
