Anyone using a Zerostat on large format film?

I wish I still had mine to use on LF film. I threw it out when I got rid of my Technics direct drive turntable, and all my vinyl LP's. What a silly ......

How exactly do you use it?

I got one at a garage sale a while back and I know it's working because it lights up the little test tube that it came with, but I don't see what it's supposed to do. I have shot it over top of my vinyl records and I don't notice a miraculous dust-repelling effect or anything. I wonder if I'm doing it wrong?

It doesn't repel per se, but it does neutralize static so getting the dust off is easier and it does not attract as much dust.

I use one on my film. I even used it last week when my slacks were sticking to my legs, the dreaded static cling.
