I have been asked by a client to find out how to rewind film is a Zenit 12XP
is there a button which releases the film gears is so where is it?

~Steve

It's below the shutter release and has to be held down while rewinding the film. Don't let it go while re-winding or you'll break something.

wow people are so clever amazing! thanks!

~Steve

I must correct myself here: its the collar around the shutter release button that has to be pushed down. There's now need to hold it down. It is supposed to stay put.
