Hi guys!
I recently acquired nice Zeiss Super Ikonta B (532/16) with some aperture issues that I was able to repair.
I have not tested camera with the film yet..
There is one thing that I notice - the back of the camera does not have any light seals. That groove that usually have black yarn thread (like most old Zeiss camera) is pretty deep, but there is nothing in it.

Do you know does it suppose to have some kind for extra light seals there or this is they way it was designed?
Thanks
Victor

My Super Ikonta B 531 has neither yarn light seals nor light leaks. It was designed for the groove to be sufficient.

Foam rubber light seals are a rather modern feature. Introduced by japanese manufacturers of SLRs (if I'm right).

The benefit is still not clear to me (leaving extreme environmental situations as sand and water aside).
