I’ve got what i think is an unaddressed counter issue for my folding super ikonta. Advance knob works great but the counter reset button seems to be non functioning. I cannot reset the counter embedded inside the advancing knob to start the roll at the proper spot. Looks like the little dot is always red. Any suggestions on how to fix? Obviously there isn’t enough winding from 0 unless the frame lock is disengaged. I’m loosing my first two frames at least.

Try this below. My SWAG is that the counter gears may be stuck, or in bad shape.

I once had a similar issue and had to pop the top to clean the mechanism with lighter fluid. Be very very careful not to screw up the rangefinder.
